3rd International Trainee Symposium in Agri-Food, Nutrition and Health – October 15-17, 2025

Renowned scientist and mentor Dr. Hossain Md Muzammel will participate in the “Enhancing Community Health through Agroeconomic Innovations” session at the 3rd International Trainee Symposium on Agri-Food,Nutrition, and Health, scheduled for October 15-17, 2025. He will deliver a virtual presentation on the important topic: “Potential Toxic Elements in Cosmos Plants and the Public Health Risks in Prettification Cities.” Breanne Semenko will serve as the session chair. The event will take place at the Samuel N. Cohen Auditorium, St. Boniface Hospital Albrechtsen Research Centre, Winnipeg, Canada.


The symposium will feature 150 trainee presentations and will include two plenary lectures. The first will be delivered by Dr. Alfredo Franco-Obregon, Professor at the Institute for Health Innovation & Technology, National University of Singapore, Singapore. The second will be presented by Dr. Charles Brennan, Chief Scientific Director of the Food & Nutrition Innovation Hub at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia.

Agri Queen International University

History of Establishment

Md Abdul Quadir was a distinguished expertise in administration, having served at Bangladesh Agricultural University and Sylhet Agricultural University, Bangladesh. His last role was perform with Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Iqbal Hossain at Sylhet Agricultural University as registrar, where he contributed greatly to the university's administrative success to develop higher education. He graduated from the University of Dhaka in 1971, and He retired in 2009 after a dedicated career in education and administration. He was born on December 30th, 1942, in Fulpur, Mymensingh. Md Abdul Quadir was the son of Abdur Rahman and Sundhuri Begum. He passed away on May 11th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and service.

His remarkable life continues to inspire many in the fields of education and public service. The Agri Queen International University was established in 2025 as a heartfelt tribute to Md Abdul Quadir, a distinguished administrator and educator whose lifelong dedication to academic excellence left an indelible mark on the educational community. Recognizing his contributions to the fields of administration and education at prominent agricultural universities in Bangladesh, his sons, founded this university to honor his father's legacy and to continue his mission of fostering knowledge and leadership.

The establishment of these institutions was driven by the vision to create centers of excellence in higher education, inspired by Md Abdul Quadir's commitment, integrity, and service. Located in Bangladesh, Agri Queen International University aim to provide quality education, cultivate leadership qualities, and contribute to the development of society, reflecting the values and principles upheld by Md Abdul Quadir throughout his life. The founding of these institutions not only commemorates his life and work but also serves as a beacon of inspiration for future generations of students and educators.
