History of Abdul Quadir International University
Md Abdul Quadir was a
distinguished expertise in administration, having served at Bangladesh
Agricultural University and Sylhet Agricultural University, Bangladesh. He
last role perform with Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Iqbal Hossain
at Sylhet Agricultural University, where he contributed greatly to the
university's administrative success for development of higher education. He graduated from the
University of Dhaka in 1971, and He retired in 2009 after a dedicated career in
education and administration. He was born on December 30th, 1942, in Fulpur,
Mymensingh. Md Abdul Quadir was the son of Abdur Rahman and Sundhuri Begum. He
passed away on May 11th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and
service.
His remarkable life continues to
inspire many in the fields of education and public service. The Abdul Quadir
University was established in 2025 as a heartfelt tribute to Md Abdul Quadir, a
distinguished administrator and educator whose lifelong dedication to academic
excellence left an indelible mark on the educational community. Recognizing his
contributions to the fields of administration and education at prominent
agricultural universities in Bangladesh, his youngest son, Dr. Md Muzammel
Hossain, founded this university to honor his father's legacy and to continue
his mission of fostering knowledge and leadership.
The establishment of these
institutions was driven by the vision to create centers of excellence in higher
education, inspired by Md Abdul Quadir's commitment, integrity, and service.
Located in Bangladesh, Abdul Quadir International University aim to provide quality education,
cultivate leadership qualities, and contribute to the development of society,
reflecting the values and principles upheld by Md Abdul Quadir throughout his
life. The founding of these institutions not only commemorates his life and
work but also serves as a beacon of inspiration for future generations of
students and educators.
